Listening App: Text To Speech

This app helps you learn English by listening to texts of your choosing spoken by a computer voice.

This app is being updated to reflect changes in how TTS (Text-To-Speech) works in different browsers and on different platforms.

In the meantime, the dialog functionality is not working. Furthermore, the speaking of texts is also unreliable unless you explicitly set the voice.

The App Help information on the right has details on how this app works. Click Suggestions for ideas on how to use Large Language Models such as chatGPT or Bard to produce text that this app can speak to you - including dialogs in two voices.
